The year-end and New Year's holidays were an example of binge drinking and eating.
I don't feel like weighing myself or measuring my blood pressure. I am probably out. I'll postpone it until the middle of the year.
But I'm going to eat again tonight!
It's "Haru Yo Koi" (Come Spring) from Hatsukaze no Mori (Forest of the First Breeze).
The rice is the same as last year, dewy leaf style.
When I poured it into the glass, I could see air bubbles. However, there is no pizzazz when you drink it!
According to Chobei Yamamoto, the brewer, this fine bubbling sensation is sometimes present and sometimes absent. This is a line that people in the Kansai region are familiar with.
He said he hopes people will enjoy it either way.
The Kaze no Mori was the "when it is not there," but it was still delicious enough!
The aroma is strawberry. It has a sweet fruity flavor.
I want to do it right tomorrow. So I'm going to have another glass...the third.
