Visit to Fukube in Yaesu, Tokyo (Japanese Izakaya Heritage by Kazuhiko Ota) I visited several times in the past, but it's been a long time since my last visit. The third generation renovated the place and it's clean and refreshing inside. We were taken to the second floor, which may not have been there in the past, From the many sake on the menu I chose Kikuhime hot sake from the many sake selections. Kusaya, and salted rakkyo and shime saba (mackerel)! The second glass was Kaiun, and the third was Takashimizu. The old rope curtains and the dull counter are nostalgic. It's nostalgic, but those who know the old days might miss it a little!

Hi Harry, good evening😊. Fukube, I've only been there once, over a decade ago, and the snacks are austere and exquisite, and the heated sake is wonderful. I see you have a second floor.

Hiraccio, good morning. The counter on the first floor is still there, but the second floor seems to have been newly built. If you are looking for austere, Saito Sake Shop and Akatsuka are the best.

Good morning, Jurian 😃. You don't see kusaya in many izakaya (Japanese style pubs), But the smell goes well with hot sake 🍶, The smell lingers on your fingertips for a while though😅. I had another one!

Good morning & long time no see 😄 Have you been somewhere? The salted rakkyo is delicious, You should try the counter on the first floor, surrounded by a big barrel of sake and a wall full of sake 🤭.
