金猫魔Honjozo sake comparison,
This is also from the Chuetsu region where Uonuma is located, but a little closer to the Sea of Japan, in Kashiwazaki.
The label depicts a princess in a star-patterned junihitoe (twelve-layered robe) with a sideburn cut called "Hime-kappu" and says it is a sake for beautiful women. It says "Beauty Sake" on the label.
Although Kashiwazaki is by the sea, this sake brewery is located in a mountainous area and is one of the few breweries that have a 100-year history of four-stage brewing of mochi rice.
In addition to the usual three-stage brewing process, the brewery adds saccharified steamed rice and water shortly before pressing, and this is where the glutinous rice is used.
The color of this sake is also almost transparent yellow,
