A local brand of Kobayashi Shuzo, famous for "Houou Mita".
The aroma is faintly al-sweet muscat. Compared to Hououmida, it is mild.
The mouthfeel is smooth, sweet, acidic, and fruity. The mouthfeel is sweet and sour and fruity, then sweet and bitter. Yes, delicious!
It is gorgeous, juicy, and beautiful sake, but at the end, the sweetness is pulled out and the umami comes in. The umami lingers in the aftertaste. The aroma has a hint of sweetness.
I see why this is a local Hououmida sake. The aroma is gentler than that of national brands, which is a common pattern for local sake. And as is typical of local sake, it has a pleasant alcoholic taste. However, it is fruity for a local sake. It has both the characteristics of Hououmida and local sake. Delicious!
To use a Ghibli analogy, it's the woman in "My Neighbor Totoro," the couple on the auto tricycle that Satsuki meets in the scene where Mei gets lost. They are riding on an auto tricycle on a dirt road in the countryside in the 1950s, but somehow it's modern and cute.
