I didn't notice much of an upfront aroma. When you drink it, it is sweet and spicy, and it goes down smoothly and then it finishes slowly. This is delicious. It is dry but easy to drink. It is dangerous because it is so easy to drink despite its 16% alcohol content. I like the dryness of Daishinshu. It is good both by itself and during a meal. It seems to go well with a variety of dishes during the meal. It went well with omelette rice, stir-fried chicken skin with peppers, bonito tataki, and negitoro no nameko. Was the dryness similar to the nigori from Machida Shuzo that we drank the other day? The dryness?
