Daisen was at Nishinomiya Hanshin and I was curious about the fresh Jusui, so I tasted a variety of it.
There was a brewer from Yamagata!
He asked me if I knew what Oyama was. I told him that I had bought it at a liquor store in my neighborhood and he was happy to hear that.
We drank
Special Junmai Namaishu
I bought it, so I'll give a review later.
Honjozo Nama Sake
I have an image of gusto when I think of Honjozo Nama, but it had a gentle taste with just the right amount of sweetness.
Jusui Special Junmai Unfiltered Nama Sake
Dark and sweet. It also tasted a little harsh. I was going to buy this one at first, but the special junmai was sweet and fruity, so I didn't buy Jusui.... It was delicious, though.
Evangarde
It seems to be a collaboration sake between Eva and a sake brewery of the Nihon Meimon Sake Kai. They also seem to be serving Daisetsukei and others.
I heard it's an assemblage of various aged sake.
It's colored but has a beautiful taste with a little complexity.
Junmai Daiginjo Hybrid Synergy Drink 4
Forgot to take a picture 💦.
This limited edition sake is a blend of various sakes, including sake from sake competitions, matured sake, and nama-shu. It was delicious, with depth and a refreshing taste. I guess it's a food sake type.
I also tried the sparkling Jusui and Umeshu, and they were just as good as my past impressions 😋.
