I remember having it at a restaurant called Tempura Arima in Shijo, Kyoto. Being in a tempura restaurant, it must have gone well with tempura, but now that I'm getting rather familiar with sake, I need to try it again!

Good evening ellie! Eikun is quite a delicious sake! It is a mild sake like Fushimi's sake and can be enjoyed cold or warmed up. I'm sure you'll enjoy it 🍶.

Good evening chichi ^ ^ I remember being impressed with this Eikun and Sawaya Matsumoto. It's nice that it's good both cold and warmed! It's a pity that Eikun is hard to find here in Shizuoka 🥲.

Kyoto is full of delicious sake not only in Fushimi but also in Tango, so be sure to try some when you visit Kyoto 😄🍶.

I often go to Kyoto, but from there I usually go down to Nara (that's where I met Harushika Super Dry), and I had never heard of Tango. I did a search and found a bunch of sake breweries I've never heard of! Any recommendations?

I would recommend "Shirakikyu" as a Tango sake. Also, "Tamagawa" is an aged sake with a deep flavor. For something different, the pale pink "Ine Mankai" brewed with red rice might be a good choice.

The sake department at Isetan in Kyoto station is quite well stocked and has a great selection of sake from all over Japan, so you may want to stop by once on your way home from your trip. 😊
