Today there was a paid tasting at Takahashiya at the east exit of Echigo Yuzawa station, so I stopped by. I tasted and purchased various items, but first was a cup of Yukio Junmai Sake because I wanted a bottle.
I paired it with spicy pork shabu-shabu and chilled it down to a cool temperature. Delicious, a deeply delicious supper. It was fun to talk a lot with the brewer of Aoki Sake Brewery - the tasting.
