After enjoying sake tasting in Kawagoe, we wandered around Nakano Broadway and had an early dinner at an Afghan restaurant "Caravanserai Bao" in Higashi-Nakano (featured in Season 3 of "Gourmet of Solitude").
The spicy seasoned lamb is very tasty and Japanese favorite!
But you know...
They don't have any sake on hand 😂.
That's why we had to drink at the same time!
We went to Fujiki Shoten Ikebukuro Honten located at the east exit of Ikebukuro station.
This store has sake from all 47 prefectures!
Tokyo is amazing!
You can get anything you need.
We immediately tried the 90 minute all-you-can-drink course ❗️.
It's completely self-serve and you decide how much you want to pour into your glass!
Then, the 4th glass!
Junmai Ginpu Kunimare
Sake from (supposedly) Japan's northernmost sake brewery!
I went there twice!
The spring water from Mt. Shokanbetsu is used as brewing water, and you can pump it out freely at the brewery!
The water was soft and tasty👍
Now this time
Aroma that reminds you of a sharp and dry taste
It's the same on the palate!
It has a full-bodied, bitter flavor and a great sharpness, making it totally dry!
Perfect with fatty horse mackerel 👌
It is a great skill to catch the fat, pour it out, and refresh your tongue 👍.
