Great Value Sake
This is really a Great Value Sake!
This year's IWC seems to have been announced, but last year's IWC Great Value Sake.
Sunday was the day I wanted to drink a dry sake with a combination of Wakamusume and Jikin. Koyama Shoten was closed once a month, so I bought some at a local supermarket 🍶.
Monthly special sale 1.8 liter for 1,273 yen including tax.
No ginjo aroma on the nose, but a classic sake yeast aroma with a hint of acidity.
In the mouth it has umami, acidity from the sake yeast, alcohol and dryness, and a sharp taste.
Just plain delicious 😋.
You can warm up the sake to let the umami and the alcohol flavor bloom, or you can enjoy it cold this season to savor the dryness and the umami of the sake yeast in the coolness of the sake.
My wife also said, "Packed sake? →It's just as good as usual 🤗.
I'm sure she'd drink it herself for about 2000 yen for a bottle with a local sake label 😅😅.
I googled and found that there is no trophy in the IWC Great Value Sake category. And it is for sake under 1000 yen for 720ml.
Here the quadruple equivalent is under 500 yen!!!!
