Obtained in Kushiro city on a trip to East Hokkaido.
Even though it is a souvenir and I want to preserve it, it is a quintessential new sake, so it is time to digest it👍.
When the bottle is opened, the aroma is light and fresh with a hint of apple. The mouthfeel is light, but the freshness and greenness of new sake is followed by a melon-like sweetness.
Then comes the spicy astringent taste that comes after the sweetness. The five tastes are directly felt and vivid. The pure, snowy quality of the sake is just like the Hokkaido sake we drank there ✨.
And by coincidence, I had it with aloe yogurt after dinner, and surprisingly, the flavors are in sync with each other, making it a perfect match!
This is the last of this season's new sake!
I'm looking forward to seeing what great sake I can find next winter 😌.
