This is Junmai Ginjo Gentatsu from Tsuneyama.
It is a sake from Fukui Prefecture.
Gendatsu" is named after Gendatsu Se, a fantastic sea area where the ban is lifted only from mid-June to mid-August.
The sake is released in the image of the Sea of Japan in each season: Gendatsu in summer and Araiso in winter.
The sake is made from Gohyakumangoku (five hundred million stone),
The label features an attractive sea bream jumping in the cool ocean.
It is served cold.
It has a refreshing sour apple aroma.
It has a refreshing taste.
It has a freshness like mineral water, a mild lemon-like acidity, a gentle sweetness, and a refreshing acidity and fresh bitterness.
The fresh, dry taste is just as beautiful as the label, and is perfect for hot summers!
If I go to Fukui this summer, I want to stop by the brewery!
