I hit my usual liquor store on a weekday at noon: ❗️
It happened to be sitting in the "one bottle per person" section, so I bought it, forgetting once and for all that I was bound to a brand I'd never had before!
Let's start with the aroma: ❗️
A sweet aroma with a sticky sensation. Peachy? Judging by the aroma alone, it seems to be a very sweet sake 🍶.
Now for a sip: ❗️
It has a surprisingly crisp mouthfeel with a slight bitterness in the aftertaste. I got the impression that it was the exact opposite of the aroma. The umami is neither too strong nor too thin, and it seems well balanced. ⛄️
Since this is the impression after letting the nigori stand, I wonder if it would be even sappier if it were allowed to settle❓
