This time it is a special junmai sake from Nabeshima.
Nabeshima is a sake that I have not had the chance to encounter very often.
I finally got it at a year-end party at Sake Kozo.
I finally got it at the year-end party at Sake Takakura.
I guess Tokujun is the most basic type of Nabeshima.
It has a light greenish hue and fine bubbles in the glass.
Fine bubbles in the glass.
The top aroma is gorgeously sweet strawberry jam, blue melon, green bamboo, and powdery rice aroma.
First, drink it cold.
It has a light fizzy, refreshing, cider-like taste, with a hint of blue melon, and a bitter acidity that quickly fades away.
The gap between the gorgeous fruity aroma and the dry, crisp taste is surprising.
Serve lukewarm.
The taste of koji is more full-bodied, and the sweetness is soft.
The bitterness is very strong, and I prefer to drink it cold and crisp.
I had never had much Nabeshima and imagined it to have a more fruity flavor.
It is a perfect match for light Japanese food.
Beautiful dry sake 🍶✨.
It's been a cold day, so I've been cooped up at home.
Cleaned up the house in the morning,
and took a lazy nap.
We had an early dinner and had a glass of Nabeshima.
It's nice to have a day like this.

Good evening, Jay & Nobby. I was attracted to the green label 🍃 and after leaving it a little longer, it became more melon-like and fruity, which I thought might be more like the original Nabeshima. I was thinking that this might be more like the original Nabeshima 😊.
