I wondered what would be good to pair with the first anglerfish I bought at my favorite Hoshikawa fish store 🤔 and chose this one👍.
Let's start with the first sip. The nose is fresh and lightly acidic with a hint of citrus. The sweetness in the mouth is refreshing, and the sourness is reminiscent of mikan 🍊 and the bitterness of eating the peel.
I first tried it with anglerfish and tomo-aye. The tomo-ae itself was very tasty, but the combination with the sake was so-so. I think heated sake would be a better match. Next, I served it with the sakekasu-marinated musuko (fish roe). The salty taste of the musuko and the unique flavor of the sake lees matched well with the Hatsushibori Ona 😁.
Rice used: 100% Gohyakumangoku

Hi Komacchan 😃
I'd love to try the anglerfish with sauce and musuko marinated in sake lees 😍I'd love to have some with my sake 😋.
And there's Ona-san! It's so good 🤗.
I'm sure it's delicious 🤗 but I can imagine that it would go well with that! I can imagine that it would go well with that 👍.

Jay & Nobby I just started going to a fish shop in my neighborhood and had all the food for the first time 😳I'm feeling the depth of food and sake today. It is snowing ☃️ outside. For some reason it makes me want to drink sake😆.
