I quickly left "The Common Man" and went to "Torii" nearby, which is famous for its oyako-don (chicken and egg bowl).
I came here to eat oyakodon a long time ago, but I didn't drink alcohol then, so this time I dared to have a lunchtime drink 🍶.
We drank with the famous oyakodon and yakitori ✨.
Gekkeikan Daiginjo.
Fruity and gorgeous aroma, mellow sweetness, and a pleasantly sweet aftertaste with a mild finish.
I've been avoiding this sake because it's made by a major sake brewer, but I think I'll try it again!
Oyakodon is delicious, with the rich flavor of the dark-colored raw egg and the robust broth.
This is the best oyako donburi in Kyoto ✨.
A bowl of oyako-don is 800 yen, which is too reasonable considering the recent inbound prices, don't you think?
[Leaving Tori I, we went for a walk to Kyoto Gosho (Kyoto Imperial Palace) to refresh our stomachs.
