I'm going to make Father's Day a day to think of my father by drinking Hirotogawa...😇
Last year we started with Junmai Ginjo Yamadanishiki, a sudden change of pace ⚾, so this year we're having the standard Special Junmai 🍶.
We have been drinking outside, but this is the first time to have it at home!
I wanted to drink it at room temperature first, so I kept it in a cool dark place instead of putting it in the fridge after I bought it!
The mild flavor spreads!
As everyone at Sake-no-Wa says, it becomes even more delicious and smooth when heated to lukewarm, which makes me happy 😌.
When I was a child, my mother used to make my father's favorite dish, "frozen tofu with chives and egg" when she received a package from my grandmother in Fukushima that contained straw-woven frozen tofu.
Since frozen tofu is not available in my area, I tried to make it with dried tofu instead.
I hope it turned out delicious! Dad 😉.
The 4th picture is of the recently opened Nabeshima and the "Special Junmai Gathering" 😆/ Comparing the two, I felt the Nabeshima was drier!
Both were delicious ✨
