Today, I went to Kawagoe again.
I was curious about a restaurant that recommends pairing curry with heated sake, so I paid a visit.
I visited because I was curious about the restaurant's recommendation for pairing curry and warmed sake. There are meals (side dishes) in the South Indian style, and items that go well with sake and warmed sake are scattered throughout the restaurant.
We ordered the heated sake omakase.
Tenshizumi's raw sake.
It was poured at room temperature first, but it was delicious.
It has a good acidity, which is typical of a sake made from a traditional sake yeast yeast yeast.
The owner said, "It has been a month since it was uncorked, so the flavor has come out well. He said the taste was blurred at first.
Then heated it up.
It is not heavy, but carefully warmed not too hot, slowly spreading out, with a characteristic and appealing acidity.
Paired with spicy keema and side dishes.
I always have a hard time deciding which sake to pair with curry, so I always pair it with something like Shinkame, but I think I have a new clue.
The second sake was a doburoku made by a guest house in Aizu Wakamatsu, which the owner purchases every time he returns to his hometown.

Good morning, Haruei Chichi 😊.
It was quite interesting and a discovery.
The curry itself was also delicious and I would like to revisit.
Kawagoe has good izakaya and is my priority area to explore this fall/winter.
