BBQ with Maru-san & Maru-san Kids (2)
Next is Hijirism from our house.
Ash is also a yeast yeast. Hijirhythm is also a yeast yeast.
I realized it when I wrote this😅.
We had onigiri (rice balls) with Hitomebore, new rice that came from my parents' home in Miyagi, because this sake is made from Gohyakumangoku and Hitomebore.
Maru-san's kids came to the restaurant right after Shichi-Go-San, so they said they were hungry, so this is their meal until the meat is cooked.
The Hitomebore in this sake says it is from Maebashi, but that's just for fun💦I'm sure it will make a tasty accompaniment to the sake as long as it is the same variety.
I have to preface by saying that my first impression of this hijirizumu was that it was sweet and sour ❣️. Lactic acidity like lemon or sake yeast. And my favorite gasiness. After a moderate sweetness and umami, the mouth is filled with a refreshing grapefruit-like acidity and bitterness.
This is delicious. ❤️

Good evening here too, Wakata 🌒.
The hijirizumu was delicious, but for me the biggest shock of this BBQ was the taste of the onigiri. My wife was roaring when she ate the dashi onigiri that I brought as a souvenir👍.

Good morning, Jay & Nobby 😃When you drink sake under a blue sky, half of the alcohol goes out (just a feeling) and you can drink as much as you want 😁My parents' rice is well received and I was in a good mood 💕.

Maru, thank you so much here too 😊I'm so happy if your wife approves of the rice 🌾☺️ I really only had a little bit of rice left, so I was reflecting on what a bad feeling it was to have 3 pieces for a family of 4 😭.

Wakata-san, 3 rice balls are enough. It's just so nice of you to give me a souvenir 🥰.
My stomach was about to burst, so the three of us ate them with relish👍.
I was lured by the aroma of the dashi broth and managed to take a bite too 🤣.

Maru-san, you must have felt like your stomach was about to burst 🤣Since then, in our family, the topic of the Maru family's love of salt and dashi is discussed at every meal, and we are still basking in the afterglow of the Maru family 😁.
