Throaty and thick like a smoothie.
It tastes like a combination of thick sake-kasu amazake and koji amazake. It also has a faint aroma of grain and sourness like rice husks. The sweetness is medium to slightly sweet when opened, and the ori is smooth with no graininess and just a slight tangy taste. After about half a sip, it starts to feel sweet. A mass of flavor... 😚.
I'm sipping it while I'm eating some red miso soup and grilled hokke (hokke).
