Akabu is located in Iwate Prefecture, and this is a newborn from their new sake series. Akabu's sake brewery was damaged in the Great East Japan Earthquake, so the brewery had to move to a new location within the prefecture. Although it is a new brand, it is very popular. The label also has an impact with its cool-looking helmet.
As it is a new sake, the lid is so tight that you can hear the sound of the lid bobbing when you open it. The aroma was not that impressive to me. It tasted like melon. It is a fruity, not too sweet, type of liquor that can be drunk refreshingly. I think it became slightly juicier as the day went on.
It is a very easy to drink sake with a fruity taste, although it is not mellow or sweet. It is a very easy-drinking sake with a fruity flavor that is not too sweet or mild. It can also be enjoyed on its own. I have never had a bad experience with Akabu.
