When the bottle is opened, it has a "ssshhhhppppppp" feeling.
Moderate gassiness
Slight pineapple and rice malt overtones
The same full aroma, firm rice flavor, and mild sweetness as the topping, along with a small amount of citrus-like acidity, spread out with a pizzazz, and are quickly quenched by the slight spiciness and assertive bitterness of the alcohol.
For a junmai daiginjo, the aroma is subdued, and the umami and richness of the rice can be felt, giving the sake a solid impression. It goes well with meals and is also delicious on its own.
It went well with homemade hamburgers, fried oysters from Aono Suisan, fried horse mackerels, and crab cream croquettes.
It went well with a Chinese chicken hamburger from Lucky Piero, a souvenir of Hakodate from an occasional work colleague.
