Here's one for today! This is another award-winning celebratory gift from my workplace😄It's my first Bandaiyuho Daiginjo! It won a gold medal at the 2024 National New Sake Competition😄I don't usually buy such good sake (lol).
It has been a while since I have had an award-winning sake. The aroma is mellow and gorgeous, like apples! When you drink it, it has a gentle mouthfeel with umami and a hint of bitterness. The aftertaste has a sharpness that is not typical of Yamada-Nishiki. It is a really beautiful sake with no cloying taste at all. This is indeed a gold medal-winning sake. It is really easy to drink and delicious! I knew that award-winning sake is different from other sake. I can see why it is so expensive.

But I guess there's a reason why it's so expensive 🤔.

Jay & Nobby, I don't often buy award-winning sake...I haven't had it in a while this time, but I still felt there was a good reason for it! It was really good. But it's too beautiful, so it might be a little lacking...
