My gimpy back still hurts, but now that the tedious work is over, I finally open the bottle.
After visiting several liquor stores in and around Tokyo, I couldn't get this one at all. When I was about to give up on it, I got a hint from the owner of Hikariya that they weren't going to release it yet, so I kept checking their website and finally got the news that it was available. I went to the shop first thing in the morning and finally got it.
As soon as you taste it, you can feel that your hard work has been rewarded.
The aroma is wonderful, with muscat and lactic acid notes.
You can feel the sweetness and acidity, but it is refreshing without being unpleasant.
The aftertaste is bitter and tasty, and then crisp and clean.
This may be my favorite of all the Sairei I've drunk. Let's enjoy the rest of it with gratitude.
