I opened a bottle of this at the same time as Hirotogawa's Nigori last year and compared the two 😊.
Among the various brands of active nigori sake, Hanaizumi is characterized by the amount of lees and its sweetness. It is creamy and sweet, making it very easy to drink, but the alcohol content is a definite 17%, so be very careful 😱.
It also has a makgeolli-like flavor, so it went well with tanshio, but the best thing I tried this time was a gratin with lots of cheese 😋.
The complex flavors of white sauce, cheese, chicken, etc. matched the characteristics of this drink very well 👍👍.
