I'm a resident of Chiba Prefecture, so I'm going to drink So-no-Kangiku. The aroma is gorgeous pineapple. I like this recent blasted tropical feeling, it's like a western style sake. ❤️ The fizzy, crunchy mouthfeel is also tropical fruit, and there is a slight lemoniness that keeps it from being too limp. Omachi is a peculiar sake with a tendency to be heavy-boned, but the blend of Yamadanishiki gives it a good balance, making it easy to drink even though it has a very impactful taste. ☺️ If the last of the Hanahayotsu is graininess, this one is differentiated by its fragrant acidity and citrus fruits. I'm sad to say that the recent Hanahyokyu doesn't have the full-on flavor it used to have a few years ago 😢.
