Today's sake is a little bit unusual - it's from Shimane Prefecture, called "Oroku" 🤗Kanji is so hard to read!
I know the name of this sake, but it's been on my list to try someday. ☺️
The first aroma is gentle and reserved, but that impression changes completely when it hits the palate! The rich umami and acidity spread out in a blur! While the alcohol content of 17.5 can be felt, the lingering aftertaste is surprisingly beautifully clean... I was surprised... It was different from other sake I have ever had, and I felt I caught a glimpse of the true essence of sake backed by the solid popularity of the brand!
