Opening a bottle of our favorite Viridian on our wedding anniversary & Good Marriage Day.
This year (2023) they are really struggling with the rice not melting... I happened to be able to get a different lot in a row, but the comment from the brewer kept describing it as a "transitional piece"!
Perhaps that's why Viridian usually has an alcohol content of around 13 degrees, but 2023 is finished at 14 degrees!
However, it is delicious enough for my palate! This year it seemed to be sweeter, but I also enjoyed the fresh fruit aroma and the wooden vat aroma!
Rice polishing ratio: 55% (Misato Nishiki)
Alcohol content: 14%.
