The high-end line of Kouei Chrysanthemum. I bought some Koei Kiku at a pretty good price before, but the taste was shocking, so I honestly wasn't sure about this time... But after reading your comments, I took the plunge and bought it!
The conclusion was.......a great decision!
Anyway, the aroma is great. Fresh muscat and caramel-like aged aroma. Exquisite balance. Slightly gassy.
The sweetness is moderate, but the acidity comes in quickly. Last time, the acidity was quite harsh and I felt the difficulty of aged sake, but this time the strength and length are exquisite. It is quite delicious.
The acidity continues moderately in the latter half and finishes pleasantly.
A great taste that is well worth the high price. But the cheaper ones are even better!
