At a drinking party with my work colleagues sometime ago (1)
Of course I don't have any tasting notes, so this is a log for the record 😅.
A drinking party with colleagues who know each other well.
The organizer was very considerate and chose a restaurant that also has sake 🍶.
So instead of beer, we chose Koei Kiku's first brand of the season, Noon Crescent 🍶 for the toast.
I've been known to take pictures of the bottles when I drink sake, so everyone is very considerate and waits to toast until I'm done taking pictures😅.
If you look at the 4th photo, you can see how active the gas is 🫧🫧🫧.
It is unusual that the yeast used is Saga Hagakure yeast🦠, which is original to Saga Prefecture!
Saga Hagakure yeast was first developed in 2023 with a pineapple-like aroma, and was later joined by other yeasts with pear-like and green apple-like aromas!
I don't have tasting notes, so I can't give you a detailed report, but I can say that it was a very easy to drink sake!
