We opened a bottle of Shinshu Kamerei, which we have not had for a very long time. It has been about once a year....
As expected, it has a nice aroma. I imagined it to be apple-like, but it gives the impression of grapes. The gasiness is strong.
The sweetness comes first, but it is not at all dry, not harsh, and beautiful. The acidity comes right after the sweetness, so maybe it's the perfect balance.
The acidity continues and finishes pleasantly, without any unpleasant bitterness.
Wow, it is superbly delicious. The reason I haven't had it for a while is not only because of its popularity, but also because I haven't had the guts to go out and buy it. I think I'm going to turn up the heat a bit again.
