I opened a bottle which I bought at Sera Masumi, the brewery's store, the week before last.
The clerk told me that there is a limited edition sake from the brewery?
Yes, we get a limited quantity every month, but we have two more bottles! I was lucky! Lucky ✌️
They transfer the finished Junmai sake into cedar barrels for a few days before bottling. The aroma is amazing, just like the barrel sake. It has a soft taste and is very relaxing to drink.
It's even more relaxing since I'm back from my trip to Shinshu and back to my normal stressful work.
My wife asked me if she could open such a precious sake right away. But I told her it's okay because we are going back to Tateshina to stay overnight.
But if I don't get there before the middle of the month, it might be sold out.

To be honest, I didn't have high expectations for this sake until I drank it because of the store label and the souvenir look (...;)).
But this barrel aroma is unique and delicious 😋.
