I buy Ao-Echigo every year at this time of year, and this year I bought the red one as well!
The aroma and the first sip gives the impression of rice sweetness, which gradually gives way to a strong umami flavor and a dry, sharp taste.
It has a lower alcohol content than the blue, but like the blue, you don't even feel that it is still a pure sake, and it goes down very well.
However, when I think about price vs. taste, I tend to think that Ao Echigo is better than Ao.
It is delicious, but I can't help comparing it to Ao Echigo because Ao Echigo is so much cheaper than Ao Echigo.

I'm sorry for my comment, yu😊I drank the blue Echigo last night and thought it was delicious❣️and I was just starting to wonder about the red Echigo, so yu's review was very clear and made sense to me🎵.

Thank you very much. I'm glad to hear that, even though it's just my layman's impression.
If you enjoyed the Ao Echigo, the red one is definitely good too, so please give it a try if you see it anywhere!
