The second part of our summer vacation trip was to Mojiko 🌊 We walked across the Kanmon Tunnel and visited the Mekari Shrine, which has a great view from the torii gate, and then went to a small restaurant on a back street for a local sake ✨Saruhami was the first sake I had ❗ A perfect balance of sweet and spicy 😲.

Good evening, pyonpyon! Mojiko trip sounds great ⤴️ I was reminiscing about how I went there on Conan's Mystery Tour 😁. If only I had known about sake back then😅 Sake on the road is the best way to enjoy sake 🤗.

Good evening, pyonpyon 🌛. I can feel the proximity of the other side of the Kanmon Straits looking right over there 🥰. I'd like to know why "Sarukui", named for a sea town that doesn't seem to have any monkeys: ✨️

Hi Gyave, Good evening 😃The tunnel you walk through is only about 800m and very close in between👍The description of the sake says that in the past, during a famine, rice was grown on reclaimed land in the Sarukuro area. I heard that long ago there were monkeys in Sankuro that destroyed the crops...
