Hououmida's Akaban is a luxurious sake made from highly polished Yamadanishiki rice, and this sake is an activated nigori raw version of that. This sake is a surprise price, lower than Akahan, as a token of our appreciation for your patronage. This is the one for which we must say thank you.
When opened, there is no explosion to say it is active, and it easily opens up. The aroma is good, and in the mouth it has a rich melon flavor. There is also some sort of acidity, which is also refreshing for being so rich. It is tremendously delicious.
It is also delicious chilled, but it may become sweeter and tastier at room temperature. It would go well with white fish in white sauce.
