The New Year's Eve accompaniment is Kaisen's special Honjozo unfiltered unpasteurized sake. A bottle available for pre-order. It has a gentle, fruity, sweet aroma. It has a rich sweetness and umami flavor with a smooth mouthfeel. The strong alcohol content makes it a very tasty cold sake for winter. It would be good on the rocks, but I forgot to prepare ice today.
I prepared a variety of sake for the year-end and New Year's holidays, but two of them were from Tamura Sake Brewery. I was not aware of it, but I guess Tamura was subconsciously my favorite brewery for this year.
