The day before, I ran the Nagano Marathon🏃 again this year and dragged my sore feet to visit Togakushi Shrine ⛩️.
For lunch, Togakushi is famous for soba (buckwheat noodles). Even though it was a Monday, there was a long queue at a famous restaurant. About 100 meters away from the restaurant, I was attracted by the sign of Hagakure Futabaya, adult lunch drink and Soba.
I ordered Genmai, Tempura of seasonal vegetables and Soba. Genmai is the best sake, fresh and really well-balanced. It goes perfectly with the tempura of gyoja garlic, cod sprouts, and butterbur sprouts. In addition, the proprietress served us five small bowls of food as a service. I ordered my husband's secret sake, which the proprietress made me laugh when she said that he only wanted to drink it. We finished off the meal with glutinous Togakushi soba, of course. Sake and soba, we enjoyed Nagano all to the fullest. 😋😋😋😋😋

I happened to walk into the restaurant and it was a great decision. The soba, tempura and sake were great. The warmth of the owner and proprietress made me feel exhausted.
