Saijo Sake Brewery Tour
Kamotsuru - a brand I've heard a lot about, but this was my first time drinking it.
We ordered four kinds of sake to compare!
(1) Junmai-shu Akane
It is rich and mild, with a hint of grain like Shaoxing sake.
(2) Special Junmai Sake "Ai
It has an aroma of rice sweetness and is easy to drink with a sourness and fruity taste typical of a sake made from the original brewing process.
(4) Junmai Ginjo Orange
The aroma is fruity and sweet with a hint of honey. It has a more straightforward sourness, and after the sourness, there was a refreshing feeling as in the first period. It is my favorite.
4) Ugui Junmai Daiginjo
As expected of a Junmai Daiginjo, it is the most fruity, but it also has a strong sense of alcohol from the aroma. It has a spicy and bitter taste with a hint of sweetness.

Hi, Kurumafu 😃 This is my first time commenting on your site. I hope you are on a brewery tour. The chimney of Kamotsuru made me nostalgic for Saijo where I spent my school days. I am glad to see that you are still alive and well 😁.

Thank you for your comment, Mr. Studying. I am on a brewery tour to rave reviews! It is very enjoyable to be able to taste the unique characteristics of each brewery, while at the same time being able to taste the sake that is typical of Saijo. Kamotsuru's sake is especially interesting as each brewery has its own unique characteristics!
