Keeping in the New Year's mood, we had to go for the second bottle as well: ✌️
This is a souvenir from my business trip to Fukuoka at the end of October last year 🍶.
I was wondering if there was a store in the station where they serve Kaku-uchi (corner bar), and my feet went inside on their own 😂.
I was so glad to be there, so I asked the staff to guide me through the list of locally brewed sake for heating up and decided on the matured version, which they said could be enjoyed in a wide range of temperatures from human skin to full-bodied.
...This is pretty good ☺️
It's a mellow umakuchi type sake, but it starts off smooth, and the rich, full flavor develops later. It has a soft taste, though it feels fluffier when it's popped open.
It can be served with food, or it can be served with cheese and nori seaweed.
This time, we enjoyed it with crab shabu, a luxurious Japanese New Year's dish.
Oh, I wish New Year's Day would come at least twice a year!

Happy New Year, Mr. Burpee 🌅.
I'm more glued to the crab 🦀 than the sake 😳I haven't had Dokurakura yet but it's one I want to drink this year 😋 Crab shabu with heated sake 🍶 is irresistible 🤤.
No, no, no! I want 4 a year 😆.

Jay & Nobby, thank you for a great year 🤲.
I was so excited to receive the magnificent 🦀 even though it was purchased online! I couldn't resist a glass of sake ☺️🍶 to finish it off🤤 lol!
Dokurakura was great, you should definitely give it a try 😊.
