WBS aired last night that Shinsei has hired a designer as an employee to create their world view.
Both the freshly squeezed Isopokamui and this No. 6 are gorgeous and reminded me of the former bestseller "People are 90% what they seem. Visuals are important, too.
So, this is X type. I had compared S, X, and R before at my first online offline meeting, but I was too nervous to remember the taste well ð
S was my favorite, I wrote myself.
This X type also has a stable Shinsei-like, clear sweet bitterness with a rich caramel texture.
My own comment is that it is more sour than the S and R, but I may not find it that sour. They are not the same year, so the texture is slightly different, a once in a lifetime sake ð.
From Shinsei's website, as a reminder.

This is the flagship model, meaning "eXcellent" (luxury edition). It is brewed in the hope of evoking the taste of the first sakaguchi when the No. 6 yeast was created, 90 years after its creation.
