Kouei Kiku's new brand of summer sake
I was sure I would like it when I saw the introduction from the brewer: ❗️
I bought it right after it arrived at my home liquor store, which started carrying Koei-Kiku a while ago!
Ginpu 78%, low alcohol (13% alcohol by volume).
Saga Hagakure yeast, and probably the first time 🤔.
I talked to the brewer who happened to be at the sake store for a promotion and he told me that the new sake rice and yeast didn't dissolve the rice as well as he would have liked, resulting in a dry finish.
He said it was dry.
Let's drink it!
In the middle of removing the plastic cover
I was in the middle of removing the plastic cover when with a "ff" sound
The crown flew off. ❗️
Inside the bottle, a light mist is automatically stirred.
I was caught off guard 😵💫
Naturally, the glass is full of bubbles 🫧.
The top aroma is rummy to citrusy.
There is also a little lactic acidity.
When I drank it...
Oh, this is dry!
A fresh gaseous sensation precedes the sizzling.
The bitterness and minerally taste has a moderate sweetness behind it.
It's like a dry Champagne when it comes this far...
Impression of dry white wine 🍾.
It is perfect as a summer wine when drunk crisp and chilled
It is a perfect summer wine 😆.
