The Koei chrysanthemum of my dreams! I went to Saga this year to buy some Koeihiku!
New deal started at a liquor store I frequent! I happened to check the liquor store's Facebook page and saw a notice that they had started business. I immediately called to confirm and went to the liquor store to check it out.
They said they had both Snokule and HelloKOEIGIKU, so I didn't hesitate to ask for both 😁.
When I poured it into the sake cup, I could feel it was a bit small. When you put it in your mouth, you get umami, petit bits, and umami bitterness. Delicious.
We enjoyed it with hamachi (yellowtail) and white fish sashimi.
The store owner told us to check back every month to see what seasonal sake is in stock, and we will be buying some every month.
