In via Hanamaki and Morioka to Hachinohe.
In the evening, we went to Hachinohe for a long-desired drink, and then to "Banya," a restaurant we had always wanted to go to.
I was the fifth in line 10 minutes before the restaurant opened at 18:00.
By the time the restaurant opened, the line had grown to 12 people.
We were seated at the counter.
The atmosphere in the restaurant is irresistible.
We started with Mutsu Otokoyama's ultra-harsh junmai.
It is sharp and dry.
I have had this sake before, but drinking it in Hachinohe is exceptional.
The appetizer was seri (Japanese parsley) dressed with white sauce.
