Urakasumi Zen
This time I thought a little about what I would do when I bring someone a drink 100% to their liking, regardless of the season or relationship.
My father-in-law came to Tokyo to watch a baseball game with an old friend and gave it to me as a gift. The sake I received tasted the best.
My father-in-law loves Urakasumi Zen, so it is a memorable sake for me as well. By the way, my father-in-law is very active and plays golf.
The name "Urakasumi" comes from a waka poem written in the Kamakura period (1185-1333) about the haze of Shiogama's Ura (the elegant view of the haze in spring), and the brewery is located in Shiogama, a scenic spot.
The taste is mild. The aftertaste is clean and dry, a little like a white wine.

(I think Urakasumi Zen was famous for its deliciousness about 40 years ago when I started drinking sake. The label seems to have not changed. I think it is great that the brand name of the old brewery is still around.

AAJI Thank you very much. You are right, the number of sake breweries is decreasing, and I am grateful that there are still some left. My father-in-law has also liked it since he was a businessman.
