Yesterday I was in Koriyama and encountered a big autumn festival in front of the station called the Azumi Kokuzo Shrine Autumn Festival😊. I'm super lucky to run into a local festival on a business trip ✌️ With so many people and children riding on floats and playing musical instruments, I felt that this is a town that cares about its children! There were dozens of stalls lined up, but few of them served alcohol, giving the impression of a healthy crowd! So, after watching the festival, Ah and I went back to the hotel and drank in the room! With radium eggs we had bought in Fukushima... The sake has a rather robust flavor! The aroma of sake spreads in your mouth. You can simply taste the umami. The sake aroma lingers on the palate with a slight aftertaste. On the other hand, the radium hot spring egg with soy sauce drizzled on it has a more complex flavor than expected, with the aroma of the hot spring also transferred to the egg 😳. The eggs and sake go surprisingly well together! Or rather, the aroma of the hot spring water becomes the aroma of sake in the mouth, which is just the right flavor! Festival + Sake I guess it's a reward for all the hard work I put in on my business trip.

Hi Nobu Nobu 🐦. I see you came across this on your business trip 😳It looks like a pretty big festival and you're really lucky👍✨. Festival goers have gone without booze lately 💦 I feel a little sad but I guess it can't be helped 😅.

The festival seems to have a nearly 300-year tradition, and there was even a kagura (Shinto music and dance) performance at the shrine! We were really lucky. ✌️ It was a very hot festival, but it was a healthy festival with few ruffians!
