On Saturday, Aochan accompanied me to my first visit to a liquor store in Kyoto. We met up at Marutamachi station, which is far away from the station and a little difficult to find 💦It was probably a good idea to have her go with us😅. This is the type of store that is becoming more and more popular in Kyoto these days. Apparently, you can order alcohol from Uber Eats! We didn't drink here, but bought some Miwazakura and left. I heard there was a Sasaki Sake Brewery nearby, so I went there since I rarely visit this place 🏃. The tasting is called "Sake Tasting Gacha" and you have to pay 500 yen to get 3 medals and can try 3 glasses of sake. You get a voucher with the medal, and you get some goodies. Regular sake is 30ml, expensive is 20ml. The first one I drank was a limited edition of Koumoto Nigori Nama Sake 8 years old. It was very spicy and guttural. I've never had nigori nama-zake before, but 8 years old is a surprise! I think it's probably aluzo-sweetened.
