This is a gorgeous fruity sake with a sweet and refreshing acidity that is too good to drink in this kind of weather. It has a gaseous feeling that makes it perfect to drink quickly when the weather is cool and refreshing.
However, it has a strong umami flavor and is not too light, so it would not be out of place in a damp season.
It also seems to have a long-lasting aftertaste on the palate.
I went to the liquor store today to buy the next batch of sake for tonight's drinking and was going to buy Honkin smooth, but I happened to get Honkin "Ameagari no Sora to" which is on sale today. The brewery said it was already sold out. Honkin, please do something about the fact that it is sold out so quickly these days.
