Today is New Year's Eve! My family is all together and I bought a bottle of Sansho 😄 at a liquor store as it was on sale and I thought it would be a perfect toast!
The aroma is muscat-like with a hint of sourness. When you drink it, you can taste the sweetness and then the slight carbonation! Then comes the umami, with just the right amount of sourness and bitterness, and a firm aftertaste, as is typical of Yamadanishiki! While low in alcohol and slightly carbonated, it is also a great toast to the taste of sake 😊.
