Summer! It's summer! It was a hot day yesterday and today. Although it is summer, we can still enjoy this level of heat. If it gets any hotter, I feel like my life is in danger. On days like this, I like to drink a light aperitif in the light of day.
I got a bottle of the instrumental Masamune I've been eyeing the other day! A distinctive label. Onko Chishin, isn't it? It's also good to be able to recognize it at a glance. When I think of Gakki Masamune, I have a strong image of affordable brewed sake, but luckily they had Junmai sake, so I selected this one. It's a little rare.
The label is 13 degrees, which is low and easy to drink. Open the bottle. The first drink. Well, it's delicious. There is no doubt about it. It's easy to drink. It's a beginner's beer.
It has a light sourness. It is not too sweet, not too spicy, and has a good presence. It is a sake that can be drunk like a juice. It is good enough to enjoy on its own. It's also good when paired with a side dish. It's light, but it has a good presence, so you don't have to worry so much about what to pair it with.
I'd like to have at least two bottles of this kind of sake and one that's a little bit habitual or spicy in my house. I'll have to go out and buy some soon.
