The Corona disaster has cast a shadow on liquor stores as well. This time, I bought some sake from a liquor store that carries some rare local sake that you don't often see elsewhere. It's a store that you'd expect to see if you're a fanatic in the Sagamihara area, but other than the sake from Kanagawa, most of the sake was from the 2020 spring breweries. Of course, the store is carefully darkened and unheated, and the preservation conditions are perfect, so there is no problem, but I wonder if this is the situation even in popular liquor stores. Maybe they're letting it age in the store on purpose.
Now, as for the sake, the aroma was faintly banana. It doesn't go as far as a banana smell or a semedyne smell, but it's pleasant.
The description says it has a strong sourness, but it's not that strong, and it's a little light. The taste is hidden in it. I paired it with eel, so I think it should be a little more robust. It seems to go well with elegant Japanese food.
3/5 stars.
